The President should have a two part reply. First -
"Go forth and multiply."
Second - he should say, "Well, Senator Tester, Senator Casey, Senator Webb - your constituents voted for you because you weren't going to sign up for liberal baby killing nonsense. You can either obey your party and be exposed as having lied to the people who voted for you, or you can stick to the supposed principles you espouse and vote for my judges. Capiche?"

The problem is that the Judiciary Committee can prevent the rest of the Senate from getting to vote. A few thousand votes in two states (Montana and Virginia) and the Republicans would still have a majority in the Senate.
The most important vacancy is one the Gang of 14 has no control over--the next vacancy on the Supreme Court.

I wonder if the RATs know enough about their French heritage to realize that pic is about the worst insult you could give a French"man".
Great find.

I really like that and I wish he'd do it because we all know we are about to find those "blue dog" Democrats are really just liberal blue through and through and they will prove it with their votes.

Indeed, and maybe he could have some of Quix' prayer with them, before dinner! Amen.

Dear Ivan,
Mr. Webb ran as an open pro-murder candidate.
Mr. Bush can't hold his feet to the fire on the issue of abortion, as Mr. Webb is an all-abortion-all-the-time kinda guy. And he was quite open about it.
It was actually one of the reasons he cited for joining the Party of Satan.
