I think a few Indian activists are involved, but from other tribes--from what I've read, the Sioux of North Dakota are not offended by the nickname.
The other major team that's being targeted by the PC-Nazis of the NCAA is the University of Illinois' Fighting Illini. Because of their refusal to buckle under, they won't be able to play in any post-season bowl games. Well, that and their win-loss record this season.

There should be an anti-NCAA effort to start a new national college organization.
Really, not just idle talk !
Like the newer AFL when the NFL would not be real.
