They distort the news to fit an agenda. Lies of omission are the same as outright lies.
If I showed you a picture of a car that was all torn apart and told you it was too damaged to run that would be true. But if I didn't show that it is being rebuilt and all the new parts were sitting just out of camera range that would be a lie of omission.
Apparently you believe what they say without looking further.
