Religion is the basis of most laws.

Much like a person fears breaking the law because of the punishment they must face when caught. Most people of faith do not break the Commandments for the same reason.

Without the Ten Commandments to keep people in fear of breaking God's laws there would be anarchy. Instead of hating the sin of homosexuality, they would probably kill the homosexual, either that or use them as the whores they are.

Uhhh... wouldn't that just make the "users" homosexual too, just nonconsensual ones...?

Also, I'm not at all convinced where the fear comes in. The ten statements or decalogue contain no threat of punishment for transgression. If you look at Jesus' summary, again you don't get fear but instead a call to love.

>>"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind." This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like unto it: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.<<
