If you or I were convicted of using a false SS number,we'd get 10 years in the Federal pen. My daughter is jumping through hoops right now with the ss adminstration providing and verifying ss numbers of her recently deceased husband and their 3 kids. Maybe she should just tell them she's an illegal and it might breeze right through.

During my tenure in the US Army,I was issued three different social security numbers.I had none when I went in at 17.At the time,it really was no big deal, but over the years it has turned into a nightmare. My credit report has a suspicion of fraud tag on it.Fortunately,I kept much of my military paperwork. If I hadn't,I would more than likely be in jail.
