#761, I disagree they held office all those years because the News Media,and the Unions were big. Both are way down now,and in their last stages before the tumble. The New Media is getting bigger all the time and providing People with better info than the DBM. Even Rats get upset that the DBM cannot explain complicated things,and punt the ball. The New fairly conservative Dems like Heath Shuler will not be told how to think,and how to vote, if they become wimpy they will be gone. He was a lousy Quarterback,but wants to get re-elected,and if he takes orders and votes the Dem line he is gone. If he bucks Pelosi, he would look good in his district.
