This is but one more reason the conservative party is no longer supported by it's base Christian voters who are much smarter than the godless fools who call themselves leaders.

Wasn't Bill Maher supposed to "out" 2 Republicans last night? Who were they?

Melhman was one, I think. didn't hear about another. I heard the Mehlman one on an earlier thread regarding Maher.

I hate the fact this tactic by Liberals works, in that it splinters conservatives, which is exactly what they want. I don't care if there are Republican leaders that are gay. If they're good political conservatives - that's fine with me.

Won't it be great to see all of the fags swinging their purses at one another.

In those "recent weeks," U.S. Rep. Mark Foley resigned in disgrace

Trojan Horse still works after thousands of years; insist the the GOP accept homosexuals as part of the big tent, and when they do what they do, Democrats get to point the finger at the 'perverted' Republican.

I'm still trying to decide what the difference is between a gay Democrat and a gay Republican; what I've come up with so far is that a gay Republican is worse, it must be so because the liberal media establishment continues to trumpet the success of ''good and gay' liberals.

"I don't care if there are Republican leaders that are gay. If they're good political conservatives - that's fine with me."

That's JUST THE POINT.

They can't be.

B.S. and you know it. Any "Christian" who won't vote or votes Rat because there might be a homosexual lurking in the GOP is a moron.

On the money. This is hypocrisy - to propose family values, and at the same time, to practice perversion. When the party next plays it's "gay card" to turn out the base, think if you're being used in another fake crusade, that will never end, and that they will never deliver on. If there's no other place to go, let them know you're not buying it.

This is garbage.

Perhaps the "Christian Base" should also refuse to support Republicans who commit adultery, or are divorced as well?

This is nothing but an attempt to remove morality totally from the public forum by claiming if you are not perfect therefore you are a hypocrite for believing in ANY kind of morality.

These people are wicked.

But they have made a valid point if they are addressing the anti-gay hatemongers who want all gays out of the GOP in a hypocritical pretense of moral superiority.

I don't care that Mehlman is a fudge-packer. I care that he is an incompetent hack.

If adultery and divorce become hot button issues that can be used to smear the party - absolutely.

"Good" requires definition. Good becausde they are right on tax policy. I hate to break it you libertraians, but the Republican Party cannot win without you or without social conservtives. The Party is a coalition, and it cannot survive if you all scorn social conservatives by ignoring their complains about men (like Mehlman?) who try to undercut their interests.

Christians will sit out or vote third party if the GOP doesn't return to the conservative positions. Anyone who thinks they would vote for a Democrat OR a homosexual Republican is a moron.

Not so. If you understood the agenda of the gay militant politician and why they can not be accepted as leaders of God fearing bible believing Christians, perhaps you would feel differently. The GOP has chosen to become moderate liberals and it is affecting the base Christian conservative vote. Christians will not tolerate it political leaders if they are homosexuals.

I didn't say a "homosexual Republican". I said only an idiot would not vote GOP because there might be a homosexual who is a member of the party.
