I would like to see Newt run in 08 as well, just to teach the other people "what" conservatism "is" and what it "isn't" First, Romney, McCain all may need some primers from Newt.

Newt might be able to change the terms of the debate, and the scope of the debate. From "we need nationalized health care" to "How we can balance the budget, fight the war on terror and make sure most children who graduate High School can read"

Newt is guilty of violating Reagan's 11th commandment. He has been on MSM bashing the President and Rummy on more than one occasion. That did not help with the situation, between Newt, McCain, Hagel, Warner, Graham, DeWine, et al, NONE of them helped us win, they all helped in our defeat at the polls. When they go on the alphabets and trash the President to get face time for themselves, then they cannot complain. Newt is a good messenger (when he stays on message) but he will not be a good candidate for President. He is an idea man, a very smart one at that, and that is where he should stay. The media will tear him up...if Newt runs, what we have seen of scorched earth policies from dems/media, will seem tame.

I love Newt and think he is brilliant...but let's face it, he has no chance in 08 or any other year.
