Well, there was a non Free Republic poll yesterday that had Newt leading the pack with 25%. Pataki, Frist, Vilschek, etc. were all 3% or less. It appears that everyone in the top four have personal bagage with the possible exception of Mitt Romney and Mitt will have issues over Religion and his abortion stance.

Didn't he team up with Hitlary on some major issue last year? Can't remember the details -- maybe someone here can enlighten me. I just remember that I was outraged.

Try recruiting his ex-wives first...

Well, Stainman was re-elected after having boinked every skirt between AK and DC. I don't condone adultery if indeed, Newt did that. OTOH, where is the junior senator, who is running for POTUS, getting her fulfillment these days? From Slick?

Actually... that's a very good idea. Much better than Newt running for President.

He's sane compared to Howard Scream... I do agree with you that Gingrich has certain personality traits that make it impossible for him to be elected President, but most people can't even name the party heads and definitely don't vote based on who they are.

Newt could be a smarter and more charismatic version of Steve Forbes. Forbes did well in the early caucus's in Iowa.

I personally don't see Newt winning, I do see Newt making the other candidates at least talk about real conservatism.

A Hagel McCain Romney debate would be dreary, add Gingrich and before our eyes the other three will start talking like Reagan.

I'm sorry, but Newt is old news to me. After 1994, when the media went on the attack, he quit defending conservatism and tried to sound moderate (one of our biggest problems since 1994 is that our "leaders" no longer defend conservatism). Then, he turned out to be another GOP hypocrite with his little honey on the side. He is nothing but trouble for the Republican Party and it's a little scary the way he is being rehabilitated.

Listening to his last statement of redirecting not only POTUS for '08 but all Republican elected offices makes me want to scream...

NEWT RNC CHAIRMAN NOW! XD

He is already doing that job from his Media Center why not put him officially in charge. That way he could FORCE the Republicans in the Legislative Branches to have the 3 day meeting.

___________________________________________

I agree with him on the following points.

The Campaign sucked!

The lack of communication was startling and yes American Voters are fickle enough that if you don't think you have to talk to them they won't vote for you.

Corruption amongst those who claim to be Conservative sucked!

Conservatives main claim is that we have integrity and believe it is fundamentally wrong to abuse the American taxpayer for personal benefit. Ya ya ya I know the Democrats do it but heck they are Socialists and that's what Socialists do not Conservatives!

______________________________________________

GO NEWT GO!

Whatever personal ambitions the man has I still think he would best serve his country as RNC Chairman!

At this point in time I believe he is the man capable of reviving the Conservative Movement in America.
