"I LOVE Newt!!!! BUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTT, there is the small matter of being on your 3rd wife and cheating on the first two. The MSM will point out that"

Rudy also is on his third wife, having cheated on the first two.

Newt is guilty of violating Reagan's 11th commandment. He has been on MSM bashing the President and Rummy on more than one occasion. That did not help with the situation, between Newt, McCain, Hagel, Warner, Graham, DeWine, et al, NONE of them helped us win, they all helped in our defeat at the polls. When they go on the alphabets and trash the President to get face time for themselves, then they cannot complain. Newt is a good messenger (when he stays on message) but he will not be a good candidate for President. He is an idea man, a very smart one at that, and that is where he should stay. The media will tear him up...if Newt runs, what we have seen of scorched earth policies from dems/media, will seem tame.

The best thing about Newt is his ability to communicate. Clear and concise, easy understood.

Take all his personal problems and throw them in the river....and then...listen to what he say's and he is absolutly correct...totally 100% correct. We should listen more often...

Newt is absoultely great on policy domestic and foreign and a great speaker just not very good at the political part

problem is most voters are really shallow when it comes to analysis and thinking

Rudy also is on his third wife, having cheated on the first two.

And the MSM will use it for all it's worth

That along with his pro abort and anti gun makes him have zero chance

"We need to understand that the threats we're faced with are so frightening and so real; the danger that we'll lose 2 or 3 American cities is so great that we cannot play games with each other; we cannot manipulate each other; we have to have an open, honest dialogue." -- Newt Gingrich, reacting to what he sees as the President's lack of sufficient candor with the American people in that clip.

In this week's Newsweek poll, when asked if people would vote for Newt, 10 percent said "good chance", 17 percent said "some chance", and 58 percent "no chance". The corresponding figures for Kerry are 16, 24, and 55.

No doubt he will never be POTUS. Too bad! His talents would best be utilized at the RNC.

I did not relize just how fundamentally corrupt the earmark explosion was. I knew I hated it when I read the transportation bill, but I did not know that it meant that they thought they had bought our votes. If we emphasize this aspect enough, maybe they can understand that most voters truly are not impressed with turning every old train station into t museum etc.

Because he's a PR nightmare.

Newt's got many good ideas, but he's just that: an idea man. He's a disaster in public relations.

True, and it'll hurt Rudy too should he run.

But Newt, unlike Rudy, isn't the hero of 9/11.

I'm not shilling for Rudy, I cannot see supporting him in the primaries, but in the eyes of the public, there is no comparison.

I would like to see Newt run in 08 as well,

I love Newt and think he is brilliant...but let's face it, he has no chance in 08 or any other year.

As always Newt brings light back into the Republican Party

Very true. One of the smartest men in DC.

But didn't Bill Clinton cheat at least twice on his first wife? Isn't that practically the same thing?

Again, as I have in the past; I totally agree with you.

But remember, "Newt has too much "baggage," and therefore he should be discounted.

I hear that all over FR.

Because he's likely running for the Whitehouse.

That's right... for all the people who say they will vote for McCain and not Newt because of Newt's personal past-- that person hasn't researched McCain's history.

I was thinking about running, but I can't think up a catchy way to say the words, "He's not a nice guy towards the enemy -he wants them all painfully dead."
