That's modesty, John Lenon compared the Beatles to Jesus Christ. Anyway, he didn't mean the Queen Mother in Buckingham Palace, he meant the Mother of all Queens in some gay nightclub......

Wrong.

He said, " We're more popular than Jesus now...." -- March 4, 1966, printed in an interview by reporter Maureen Cleave in the London Evening Standard.

He was not comparing himself or the Beatles to Jesus in the way that you suggest.

(and there are two "n's" in Lennon)
