The only bright spot would be that the newly elected Dems would have to go on the record against the fence. I doubt that this will come up. The Dems want to consolidate their gains. They will shy away from controversial issues and direct their immediate attention to minimum wage increase, tax credits for college tuition, and changing the AMT laws [Rangel mentioned in today's WP that is his #1 priority].
The Dems now set the agenda, so they call the tune on what will or will not be discussed. Welcome to the brave new world for those who don't remember what the House was like prior to 1995.

It is up to us in the new media to show these new dems hypocrisy.

IIRC, one of the times Bush tried to pass the shamesty, the Dims stopped him. The Dims claim was that he wasn't addressing all the OTMs. Bush wants it for Mexicans only. Wasn't the "Comprehensive" plan for Mexicans only?
