Republicans and conservatives who voted at least have a clear conscience, we did our duty.
The Dems turned out their people, they wanted to win, you can't blame them for that.
But Republicans and conservatives who didn't bother voting are directly responsible for the current Dem Congress.
Those protest voting or who didn't vote had sh!t for brains.
NO DUH!
YEP. And they NO right to complain.
They lost us the chance for a conservative majority SCOTUS.
This depressing stat also explains why Bush-Rove (and I) thought the GOP would defy the pre-election polling and win or at least hold with high turnout. They were quite sure of this, as was I. For all the GOP faults, I thought people on the right would vote as strong as ever to keep the Dems out of power. A lesson for us all as to why that didn't happen...
and I thought only democRats were sore losers...

it seems to be your favorite pasttime here ,, did ya ever consider figuring out ways to motivate people instead of lambasting and haranguing them into voting, very few at FR didn't vote, take your message where it would do more good.. haven't we had enough days of whining here already?
There are no facts and figures given here that support the conclusion. These data and statistics are lumped and include the swayed. the only way to get data on real R voters is roughly to compare straight R voter numbers for a john doe(R) against an incumbent D in prior mid term, or presidential year elections with this one.
The dems I talk to, especially women, say they can't stand the anti-evolution, pro-life, anti-stem cell, terri schiavo crowd.
They think they are nuts, and the US version of the taliban.
I agree.
Democrats aren't particularly committed voters...which is why I always hope for rainy and/or cold weather each election season to reduce their turnout. This is especially applicable to urban voters...they absolutely can't be bothered walking someplace in rainy conditions. Republicans tend to be a bit more hardy when it comes to reaching the polling place.

I voted but wont but I wont jump on those conservatives that didnt. I know a few that stayed home. Common feeling with them is they felt the Republican party stabbed them in the back on various issues.
If the party doesnt get back to it's roots it's gonna be the Beast in 08.
What, I wonder, is going to be so different about the Democratic congress compared to the Republican one we just had?
And you can thank McCain-Feingold "campaign finance reform". Another legacy piece of legislation from Senator John McCain.
Republicans agreed among themselves to NOT use any of the legal arbitrary powers of government to advance conservative causes or protect themselves and conservatives from Rat leftist socialists.
Republicans didn't want to win as much as the Rats.
Cheney couldn't yell,
"I love three buck gas",
loud enough
whata piece of work
Therefore, anyone concluding the Republicans lost because they didn't move to the center is dead wrong.
When She Who Must Not Be Named runs in 08, ALL PAST GOP TUNRNOUT RECORDS WILL BE SHATTERED!!! Take that to the bank folks.
"Facts and figures prove that Republicans lost, because many didn't bother to turn out and vote. "
Conservatives voted. They voted issues. Moderate Republicans and Democrats voted. They voted out Republicans based on the war. Liberals voted. They voted to put their party back into power.
Bottom line is, Americans living outside of NY, California, Chicago could care less about the war on terror because they don't see it coming to their little town. And the ones in those states care about terror, but they care more about what the government is going to do for them.
