"California's Republican voters stayed home in droves on election day, as preliminary figures show voter turnout falling well below the state average in some of the most reliably GOP parts of the state.
Although the final totals won't be known for weeks, election day turnout in Fresno, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and SanDiego counties, which all have Republican pluralities, ran as much as 10 percentage points below the state's 44 percent average turnout.
"The turnout in Republican counties was low compared to the turnout in counties where Democrats hold the edge,'' said Patrick Dorinson, a spokesman for the state Republican Party. "The conservative Republican base didn't show up.''

Having trouble keeping your story straight?
And still nothing about "...conservatives stayed home..."
I'm actually starting to feel sorry for you.
That's California. If Arnold's approach to politics was the right way, CA Republican turnout should have been HIGHER, shouldn't it?
I already acknowledged the former in my original post to you.
"The conservative Republican base didn't show up.''

If this is so,, it is likely because of the effort of Social Democrats aka Progressives aka neocentrists who openly work the threads here, in the media and within the GOP.
I must say, you are one of the more energetic FOs we have had here, I guess those 5 days in Mexixo re-energized the account , or maybe it just allowed the account time to brainstorm and re-focus your efforts to continue the charade of those in the Ca GOP who were elected and how to now do the same in national elections.
Your initial opening comments certainly would indicate you have big plans.
I'm sure you've heard of the Third Way, a Clinton -
Blair inspired effort (along with lots of international elite suppoerters) that the Gub is working hand in hand with to continue to pull the wool over the eyes of the sheople and continue the quest to retain control over fiscal and social policy and the courts.
If folks only realized the depths to which deception has been practiced the last few years, I suspect the turn-out would dramtically improve, as it is, the lower you folks have been able to keep the turn-out , the better your chances that the agenda will be successful well into the future.
The recent Global Warming legislation signings and dog and pony shows and reach-out across the ocean to our allies like Blair certainly would appear to be just one example of the kinds of relationships the Third Way will rely on to continue to accumulate additional power both economically and politically

Should they succeed, it will of course be conservatives that are to blame.. How convenient a comment ... and predictable when it comes to your account and its mission here and globally.
Surprise, surprise. The SF Chronic is lying with stats. Two of the counties listed were ABOVE the average. All of them were above the typical midterm election average. Two were above the San Fran turnout and one above the LA turnout.
Orange: 41.6%
