Newt is BY FAR the only person who can articulate a conservative message as of right now. He has the background, brains, ability, and spine to be President.

Wow, a spine in a pubbie. Now that might be something entirely different.
I like Newt. Loved the Contract w/America. Thought he was a great foil for der Schlickmeister.
But it's hard for me to imagine him as President of the United States. Something too aloof and academic about him.
I agree with Rush about everyone having baggage, so that in itself doesn't disqualify him to me. But the personality... I don't know.
