McCain did not lose this election. It is delusional to believe he did. The election was lost because the Independents and Moderates voted for the RATS. We ONLY win when they vote GOP. If we cannot counter the Treason media lies and distortions which cost the GOP their votes we cannot win.

It is a miracle that Republicans win any elections given the power the Treason Media has over the minds of voters. It is, and had been for a long time, our biggest enemy. That is the Party of Treason's biggest asset.

yes. but don't get me wrong, I don't generally love McCain. His position on the detainee "bill of rights" and immigration, bothers me alot more then the judges issue. But he deserves a fair shot in the primaries just like anyone else - and I won't close my ears totally to what he has to say, and to what the polls say.

I see that the Dem 'black ops' people and their "GOP enablers" are here in force.

You are content with cutting off your nose to spite your face? You deserve every pro-abortion, anti-2nd amendment, tax hiking decision that comes out of the White House.

Problem is that your stupid decision has a way of affecting the rest of us.

Our loss on Tuesday is in no small measure to the likes of you. I hope you enjoy our 2 years of impeachment hearings and WOT retreat.

"MSM will take care of McCain.. especially if he is up against Hillary. If these two turns out to be our only choice.. I'm voting Liberterian."

McCain is not going to be the only Republican running in 2008. Would you be willing to look at who all does run and work to get the best choice elected in the primaries? Then, maybe reconsider a Republican vote in the General?

Let the bastards know that we wont vote for mclame under any circumstances and that includes running against the beast. When the leadership realizes this then mclame is toast. We set the agenda, not them.If the pack of 06 losers want to win in 08 they had better wise up and run a "real" conservative. If not then the 06 loss will pale by comparison.

Matt Blunt is 36 years old - they would tear up his age. Hopefully, he'll challenge for the seat that troll-Claire just won in 2012. But first, he has to beat a well-known Democrat Jay Nixon for re-election in 2008.

As I read this thread, I'm seeing a bunch of idiots who STILL can not see the FACTS. Think less the individuals and think MORE about the WHOLE!!! IF we had a 6062 majority, then get rid of the RINOs -- especially in DURING THE PRIMARIES.

We tossed out a lot of good/great conservatives because of a few others. What good did that do?

Also, people just do NOT get the SIMPLE fact that it is IMPOSSIBLE, beyond the relm of possibility, to get anyting BUT a RINO elected in the strong blue states.

Those few RINOs STILL can give the the republicans the MAJORITY and power to the CONSERVATIVES that get elected along with them. Those conservatives -- that are still there, we lost a BUNCH -- are NOW powerless!

McCain doesn't even have the balls to protect the borders of his own home state of Arizona that is being invaded from Mexico. How the f$ck is he going to protect the rest of the homeland. He doesn't stand a chance of winning the POTUS.

Suppose an ailing McCain ran with a VP of Jeb Bush? How would people feel then?

Who here had even heard about McCain before the MSM started showing us his image, and telling us what a star he was?

We can have good, solid, and genuinely conservative people running for office in two years if we keep the idea that this is the only way that we will vote Republican, before the eyes of the party.

We're stuck with the bottom line from the other day for a while, but we have a great opportunity to reform the party like it should have been for the last decade, like wise Mr. Reagan envisioned it.

If I were Jeb or any of the Bush family, I'd give the country the 1 finger salute and retire. Why would he want to put himself thru the agony his brother has faced?

I have some reservations about those issues as well...but, on second glance, they seem to be the ones that the administration wanted out there. What really chaps me is the abuse that McCain draws for daring to run against the man who just cost what it took 42 years to build after Goldwater. Why does Bush always get the free pass?

Here is an Air Guardsman who admitted missing many drills and making only the bare minimum makeups required against a Navy combat pilot who was shot down defending his country and ended up spending nearly 6 years in a POW camp.

It's true that McCain joined with Feingold and Cochran (remember him, he's the conservative from Mississippi) that drafted CFR but Bush is the one who made it law. McCain campaigned hard for the president in 2004 and he ranks as the biggest hawk in the U.S. Senate when it comes to the GWOT.

I've personally met him, I served under his father, his grandfather was a legitimate WWII naval hero and admiral who was credited by none other than McArthur and Halsey for the role he played.

IMO, he is being bashed mainly because CFR threaten to drain advertising revenue from talker types who depend on its revenue.

Mega Dittos. You are going to hear lot of Establishment Republicans tell you "McCain is the only one that can win".

I know -- and what really fries me is that McCain has so much baggage that he would be every bit unelectable as many seem to think Newt Gingrich would be, only Gingrich isn't an emotionally disturbed madman like McCain is. Once it was just McCain against Hillary or any other Democrat, the media would inundate America with exposes on his mental instability. He would be absolutely unelectable.

This is probably as interesting of a post-election analysis as any I have read. McCain has used his national prominence to diminish the Bush administration in the eyes of conservatives with both CFR and the Gang of 14.

Yet, most analysis says this election was lost in the middle. And that is where McCain, who allegedly has such broad appeal, really screwed conservatives. When he could have been a bridge, he was a wrecking ball. He has been consistently critical of the Bush administration in the eyes of moderates and independents with attacks on the strategy in Iraq and various environmental issues (where I've seen him speak of the White House with as much disrespect as any Democrat).

Things are just where McCain would like them to be. A perfect stage for him to be in the spotlight forging deals as a bipartisan leader.

Campaign Finance Reform is one of the worst pieces of legislation ever. Soneone who had a big part in the creation of that nightmare is not Presidential material.
