I don't know his father. But if he behaved in a like manner you can bet that the answer is yes.

His father was not a conservative, but he wasn't a whore like the son. He was a team player and a genuine, honest, decent man.

He also was one of the first Senators to endorse GWB when he first was looking into running. It's a shame he died before he was able to see him win.
