Hey, since you brought it up - what is a good organization to go through for getting packages to the troops? I'll send them myself, if necessary, but I'll need some APO's.
Great story -- OK -- has anyone checked to see if the stuff can be shipped air? It is flamable, right? The stuff could prove deadly to an aircrew if it leaked and ignited. It would be much better to negotiate for the company to ship the stuff over or it will probably need to go hazmat shipping of some kind.
This is not a BS concern; Fed-Ex (for example) has only ever lost one aircraft---because someone hid a can of spraypaint in a non-hazardous shippment and it leaked and ignited in the cargo hold.
I hope the story is true. It's an awesome one.
I'll be back with more info.
I was sick the past few weeks and missed the first deadline, Nov. 1, for Operation Christmas Stocking, which was the one I wanted to go through. FedEx was shipping stuff free to the Salt Lake City warehouse for that one.
Now I have to look for another one, since I have my stuff almost all ready (have to get some Silly String). I'll come back and post it here.
Hi fr_freak ... I think FReeper HiJinx can help us out with info on sending Christmas care packages to some of the troops, so please send HiJinx a FReepmail for details!
