Savage *is* right on many issues. I don't deny that. That's why I originally liked him. The problem is that his childish, immature temperment tends to discredit his views on those issues. His third-grade level tantrums make him and all who hold his views look like idiots. All liberals need to do is replay some of his hysterical rants, and we lose potential voters.

I realize that Savage-Weiner thinks his on-air tantrums are funny, but they are not funny when he is insulting his callers. Five-year-olds think they're funny when they call someone a poo-poo-head, but adults should be above that kind of nonsense. And it's hard to be funny when you are so angry that the veins in your head are ready to burst.

The other problem with Savage-Weiner, as I tried to explain in an earlier post, is that his demeaning attack on Rush show clearly that he is obsessed with his own status and is willing to sabotage the conservative movement to promote himself over others. To the extent he becomes a de facto leader of the conservative movement, we are in deep trouble, because he is a megalomaniacal lunatic. Megalomaniacal lunatics usually make poor leaders.

Dearest Rush,

Savage is a voice for millions who feel powerless and unrepresented by their so called, "representatives". The disconnect of the people from their so called, "democratic republic" is palpable. Mr. Savage is screaming for those unrepresented throngs. Think, "I'm mad as hell and not going to take it anymore!" Michael Savage, (Michael Weiner) is an entertainer, the name Savage is a stage name appropriate for "the last angry man" character that he deliberately portrays. Without the Savage theatrics the show would disappear from the radar and become just another bland, banal radio talk show. The magic of the Savage phenom is his ability to annihilate his leftist listeners with keen humor and skillful theatrics. He is the quintessential guarantor of the First Amendment and does so with alacrity and aplomb. There are scores of Marxo-facists who would love to silence Savage. If and when they are successful, you will miss his "hysterical" voice as much as you will miss the freedom of speech and democratic duologue that he masters. Furthermore, if the "conservative movement" is so weak that Savage's self promotion could successfully "sabotage" it, its not worth joining. Conservatism is a way of life that will succeed based upon the example to others by conservative lives truthfully and well lived not due to the "on-air tantrums" by a master of audio media.
