I'll never forget my Towed Vulcan platoon (ADA) back in '78. 3 of my 4 squad leaders were acting-jacks, and I'll swear the average age of my platoon was 19, if you exclude my 35 YO Plt Sgt. Seemed like I got more than my share of the "problem children", too.

They were green, but they busted their tails off for me, and we whipped the other platoons during tac evals and ARTEPs.

I was at Graf when the officers of my unit got invited to a ADA demonstration. Since I was the CO's driver at the time, I got to attend (but no sitting down) as well.

Now that was a demonstration I will never forget... mounds of brass, heaps of brass, mountains of brass. wow.

I always tell my wife there is something primitive... sexual about firing full auto.... she just does not understand.
