THE Dutch government has announced that it would seek a way of banning the wearing of burqas and other Muslim face veils in public places, possibly becoming the first European country to impose such a ruling.
The announcement comes at a time when the debate on such veils and whether they prevent Muslims from integrating has gathered momentum across Europe and drawn comments from leaders such as Britain's Tony Blair and Italy's Romano Prodi.
Last December Dutch lawmakers voted in favour of a proposal by far-right politician Geert Wilders to outlaw face-coverings, partly on security grounds, and asked Immigration Minister Rita Verdonk to examine the feasibility of such a ban.
Ms Verdonk said the fact veils were worn for religious reasons could bring new legislation into conflict with Dutch religious freedom laws, but signalled the government would try to find a way around this.

Hurray!!! This is one of the single best decisions in the war against the extremists made in at least a year.
Immigrants to other countries must be made to assimilate into their new country. Or leave. It's that simple.
Muslim communities belong in Muslim countries.
The moderates will be relieved, and the extremists will go scurrying back to their rathole countries.

Rulings like this are excellent. It's just a matter of time before they bomb something or kill someone and end up turning Europe against them.

You misunderstand how deep the pathology of the liberal mind runs. No matter what the Islamofascists do, liberals will always blame "something we did" that made them angry and justifies their uncivilized conduct.
Just look at how the Spanish reacted to the terrorist train bombings and how liberals in New York keep re-electing Shrillary. It's an absolute pathological condition.
They only issue fatwas when Republicans are running the show. When Democrats are at the helm, they issue thinwas.
Hey, stupid! Here's a Flash for you. They do not WANT to become integrated. They want us to become Muslim.
All they have to do is say it it a "political uniform" - sort of like the Nazis wearing their brown-shirts.
Political uniforms are banned in most Euro countries.
If they want to wear those offensive shrouds, let 'em go back home to the Islamic countries. Sure they don't want to go back to Mohammad's showplace countries, who would? But as the old saying goes: When in Rome do, as the Romans do. Don't expect the Romans to change, THE FOREIGNORS HAVE TO! Or else go home, and enjoy all the pleasures of Sharia Law.... stop trying to bring it to Europeans!
