McDowell accuses Sinn Féin over Bellenaboy violence
The Minister for Justice has said Sinn Féin is playing a significant role in prompting trouble at the Shell gas terminal site in Co Mayo.
Speaking after this morning's violence at Bellanaboy, Michael McDowell said the gardaí there have his full backing.
He hit out at key figures in Sinn Féin saying: "I want to say to Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness and Caoimhin OCaolain that this tactic of confronting the Gardaí and of breaking the law to achieve political notoriety wont succeed.
"We've gone through all forms of due process and weve gone through all forms of conciliation. A tiny minority of people continue to confront the law and they are being supported in this by the Sinn Féin party. Provo tactics wont work."
Several people reported injured at Shell to Sea protests
"The Taoiseach has said that he will not intervene in the conflict."
Don't want to uphold the laws of the State in case you upset the IRA, eh Bertie?
Terrorism ping!
More Irish beauty -

Adams back on fundraising circuit in US
By Noel McAdam
10 November 2006
Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams last night attended his first fund-raising event in New York in two years.
Mr Adams was expected to meet a number of key Irish-American figures, ahead of a visit by a delegation from the Friends of Ireland Group to Northern Ireland next week.
During the Friends of Sinn Fein dinner, Gerry Adams told his American supporters that there was still more work to be done to complete the peace process.

Ireland Ping to post 9. Typical, they can do what they want!
Also, I'm sure the IRA are involved in this:
Irish Thatcherite HMMMMMMM???interesting screen name.
I supported Sinn Fein in the past, now that they're in power (or in the political process) they're just another leftist political party. Hasn't Ian Paisley lost his voice yet?
...in Virginia also.
Virginia Mayo ping...
My screenname is designed to have that effect! :)
Sinn Fein/IRA have been leftists since 1922, but the terror campaigns are a enough to turn my stomach irrespective of what they stand for.
As for Paisley.. even he is in the process of surrendering to the IRA!
Is her middle name 'North'? :-P
Nope. Hellman's
Oh, ok. Thanks for keeping this thread bumped, though! :-P
"Gerry Adams last night attended his first fund-raising event in New York in two years."
Given that the IRA praised the 9/11 attacks (in Gaelic, not English), this is an insult...
Hang him with Saddam...
Someday Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness will swing from a rope!!
