Maybe I dont understand how the us govt works.

When Clinton was president, did we have
repub senators going overseas and criticizing him.

When did the congress and senate control foreign policy?

I dont get it?

Who is abusing power here?

Not so fast. Remember, they NEED the Viet Nam model. This means, if not done so already, Senator John F. Kerry will meet with the enemy in secret in support of their efforts. Check Kerry's foreign travel schedule!

Point taken.

But may I make a little comparison here?

President Bush and Secretary Rice both hailed as strong and meaningful, the UN sanctions against North Korea which specifically ruled out force as a consequence of noncompliance.

To me, this sounds sort of like a cop saying to an armed criminal: "Drop your weapon or I will issue you a ticket!
