They were just being a**holes, teasing the other passengers to see what they could get away with. Maybe some "flight rage" on the part of the passengers would have been better than calling security to frog march them off the plane.
Lawsuit against airline starting in 5,4,3,2,1...
Really, a few accidental elbows in the eyes would probably cut down on this kind of stuff.
I am suspecting that they might have been deliberately trying to stir up some trouble in order to play the victim card.
Perhaps for the rewards of a succesful lawsuit, or more sinister, causing passangers to keep quiet when there is a real threat occuring.
