The stuff coming across his desk was the product of a GOP Congress. We'll see what happens when it's crafted by Dems.
Yes the "Republican" Pork Slobs. They put him in a no win position. If he vetoed them he would have been vetoing his own party, great fodder for the Dims at election time. They deserve all the contempt and the losses they got.
Hastert even looked and acted like a feckless Pork Slob.
Now it remains to be seen if Dubya has the rocks to get out the veto pen.
Or might he say, "screw you all, you want these lefties in charge, you can have it all!"
