Good Morning, "Valin"!

Very provocative thread...I'm going to have to give some time to this article before I comment specifically. Thanks for suppyling us with thoughtful material.

As far as I can tell, by the time we got to Baghdad there was no Iraqi army to keep. They just went home, except for those that became the "insurgency".

You take it out of thin air: "As far as I can tell".

Why would they? They wanted to keep their jobs and many hoped for reward for not defending the regime.

"[...]Before the war, President Bush approved a plan that would have put several hundred thousand Iraqi soldiers on the U.S. payroll and kept them available to provide security, repair roads and prepare for unforeseen postwar tasks. But that project was stopped abruptly in late May by L. Paul Bremer, the U.S. administrator in Iraq, who ordered the demobilization of Iraq's entire army, including largely apolitical conscripts [...]"

How, for example, did the canard spread that the roots of neoconservative foreign policy can be traced back to Leo Strauss and Leon Trotsky?

Facts, facts. Start with Jeane Kirkpatrick

>>>>it's very provocative!!<<<<

Provocative it is!

If you isolate every paragraph and try to find a common denominator: it's COMMUNICATION, stupid.

This administration is 100% guilty when it comes to communication and confrontation of the MSM/left, with capital "Cs".

Some talk about "educating" the Egyptian imams. They are beyond education. Most of these imams are illiterate! However, maybe the only "good" thing about Gamal Abdel Nasser is his "Cs", communication and confrontation, that is!

Nasser simply told the imams that if they interfere in politics or incite riots or what we know nowadays as jihad, the imams will be facing life sentences or immediate execution. If the imams are involved in any conspiracy then a step before the above-mentioned choice of sentences shall be required to find out the co-conspirators. That step would be none other than horrible torture to arrest and execute all of the conspirators. A parallel to Saddam's previous rule which gave no chance to the islomo-fascists or mullahs, like al Sadr, to open their filthy mouths.

Nancee,

The paragraph about Iran speaks for itself and what I wrote two years ago and re-posted to you a few days ago, will remind you of my opinion on the matter. In addition, my recent posts to you communicated my belief that this President will bomb Iran before leaving office, especially after the last election results.

BTW, I’m not a Neocon. Frankly, I don’t classify myself. I consider myself just an American, period. LOL

Neocons are a figment of group imagination. A fad. A hula-hoop, a pet rock, a mood ring, gullwing fins on a 59 Chevy.

LOL LOL :):)

"...this President will bomb Iran before leaving office, especially after the last election results."

He will if he can drum up the support in Congress after the last election results. Now is when I feel the awful loss of our great Senator Santorum most!!!

While you don't classify yourself, I might try it! No! You're right, you're an American, and a very good one!!

Told you it was provocative! LOL
