I've told this story here before, several times. And it's an old, old story so many have already heard it. But it's just so perfect for illustrating how people, and groups, behave!

A big ol' bull frog is sunning himself on the bank of a river. Along comes a scorpion who asks the bull frog to give him a lift, on the frog's back, across the river since the scorpion can't swim. The frog says no, that he's afraid the scorpion will sting him and he'll die. The scorpion assures the bull frog that he won't sting him because if he did they would both die. The frog considers that and figures he's safe, the scorpion surely wouldn't do something that would kill too. Half way across the river the scorpion stings the frog. The frog is shocked an with his dying breath asks "Why would you do that, now we're both going to die!"

The scorpion's response? "I can't help it, IT'S MY NATURE!"

Certainly explains of lot of foolishness we'll see over the next couple of years! It's been long enough since the Dems were in control that a lot of newcomers to FreeRep will be shocked by their behavior! Get ready for an interesting ride! Dig out your "E" tickets!

McGovern in '08 ...nice ring to it don't you think?
Heck if they can reprise Lautenberg, and Mondale why not George?
McGovern meeting with Congress to advise on the war really puts this Democrat take-over of government in perspective doesn't it !!
What has the American electorate wrought? God help us all!
