Did the RNC really spend money on Chafee? Idiots. I'm glad Mehlman is gone.

I'd really like to see Newt as RNC Chairman. Say what you want about his "baggage", but his mind is sharp as a tack, he knows how to rally the troops, and he knows what buttons to push with the voters.

  You're exactly right - The GOP shouldn't have spent any money on Chafee: an obvious Democrat. Now, he says that he is considering becoming a Democrat. He really should move to New York, where he can get a new birth certificate and become a little girl.
