Steele would be an excellent choice.
The GOP lost 22 seats by 5000 votes or less, eighteen of which were in Republican majority districts.
Steele can recruit the next slate of candidates to challenge for those seats, which should be returned in the next cycle with smart recruitment and campaigning.
I still wonder about those 5000 votes or less victories....the splits were gender based with more lib women out voting conservative men, with many other men sitting on their hands...
"It's Women, stupid!" That should be kept in the back of the politicians minds in 2008!
