Yes he is. But he lost. And he wouldn't have lost if he hadn't been too close to The Lobbyist. I almost wish that Doolittle had lost as well. They were full of themselves. Both deserved to lose. And we deserved better.
From what I read about Pombo, he wasn't close to The Lobbyist at all. The left did a great job painting it that way, though. There are others I have seen that have been much closer to The Lobbyist but are of a more "moderate" Republican variety and there has been ne'er a peep of opposition to their candidacy.
I have zero tolerance for corruption and would like to see anyone abusing their position thrown out on their keister, regardless of party. However, smearing conservatives with little evidence while remaining quiet about liberals seems to be the order of the day.
