Did you even read the article, Chafee screwed this up and has said he will continue to block the nomination from the rest of the current session. I respond to you GOOD RIDDANCE Lincoln Chafee and don't let the door hit you.

No point in trying to confirm Bolton now...the Dims would just filibuster. Sure the GOP could try to enact a no-filibuster rule, but given they are not going to control the Senate for at least 4 years (not enough vulnerable Dims in '08) why would they do that now. If cHillery gets elected we'll be doing our fair share of filibustering.

Recess appointment isn't really an option now because US Law is clear that Bolton could not get paid for a 2nd recess appointment. Pretty sure he isn't going to work for free.
