Mississippi is one of our most beautiful states. I have driven the Natchez Trace Parkway several times during the fall leaf season. Fabulous! Does anyone outside of Mississippi know that in the fall the leaves turn red and gold there?
You should see it in the spring. When my daughter and I went down last year, the ground was covered with white, blue and purple flowers. Looked like a carpet of flowers. Of course, I love MS since that is where I was born. Did y'all know that a Russian ballet company comes to Jackson and it is the only city in the country that it comes to? Will have to go through my emails and see if I kept one with facts on the state.
"Does anyone outside of Mississippi know..."
ssshhhh! You're gonna clog up the Trace with a bunch of northerners.
"Natchez Trace Parkway several times during the fall leaf season"
Just spent three hours raking up those leaves in my yards, in my nice safe beautiful Mississippi neighborhood, where the only crime we have, we take care of instantly ( see Natchez robbery gone bad for perp, earlier this week). Now, if it just wasn't for those leaves you were extolling.....

And you need to go there again, but in the Spring when the dogwoods are in bloom!
[Last week in March is usually good.]
North Mississippi is quite pretty in the Fall.
I know that a good part of Shelby (TN) County's tax base moved to Mississippi to avoid King Willie's reach. You don't think that Rat would try to annex MS, do you?
