It feels very personal to me. And I have felt a connection to President Bush like none other I've had in the past, including Ronald Reagan.
I agre, I feel like crap and I hurt for my country and President. I am trying to not listen to news today and not listen to talk radio, trying to re-focus but it just is not working.... so I feel your pain BIG TIME, in Cheney's words.

Look at it this way. Now you don't have to cringe when the budget or immigration comes out, because its not personal to you. Now you can fight liberalism on your territory, and not have to work around comfortable and cocky politicians from your own party in Washington.

Yep, I too have felt a big connection to W. Not as strong maybe as to Reagan, perhaps, but strong nonetheless.
I mostly agree with the writer. I feel disheartened. While I feel disheartened, I am truly and genuinely saddened for our nation. It is my personal belief that we have essentially now made it a point of national pride to mock God. "We" have done this in movies, in pop culture, in our courts, and throughout society in general. There have been precious few in any who have stood up like Nathan the prophet and said, "This is blasphemy, and it must stop." If some have done this, there was no groundswell of support from those who should have been supportive.
Now, I fear, our country is slowly but most certainly seeing the hand of God's blessing being removed from us as a nation. This will have dire and lasting consequences. Our nation has enjoyed the sustained blessing of God for over 200 years, but that is now noticeably changing as our fellow countrymen stick their fingers in their ears and yell, "La, la, la, I can do whatever I want, no right wing nut, or their faux God is going to tell me what to do."
Make no mistake, this is happening right now. I fear our children will bear the brunt of the coming maelstrom.

For the record, "big time" are Cheney's words.
"I feel your pain" is a Bill Clinton standard.
