What fascinates me about the election is how close the races were. A lot of Republicans lost, but many of them by the narrowest of margins. Look at VA, over 2 million votes cast and the winner prevailed by only 7,500.
We've got two here, NC House Speaker Jim Black, a Democrat tainted by years of scandal, leads his challenger by seven votes. And, Robin Hayes, Republican US House Representative from district 8, leads his challenger by less than 300. Neither have been conceded.
