I think that the man who threw Rumsfeld and Bolton - two of his most trusted, loyal, and capable friends and colleges - to the wolves in a desperate and self-serving attempt to save his own legacy is the one devoid of integrity. I'd say he is not in Carling's league.

You know what TX Federalist. I can't disagree with your statement, although I think Bush does have integrity. That said, it's hard to argue with your post. I'd never throw my loyal friends out the door because it was popular.

Rumsfeld had offered to resign previously and President Bush didn't accept it. This time he did.

The new left wing Congress, elected by Liberals and Libertarians, planned to string Rumsfeld up and he would not be able to perform his duties as SoD.

Bush has fought for Bolton. There would be no Bolton in the UN at all if it weren't for Bush's loyalty to him.

Your distaste for the President, for whatever reason you have it, has tainted your logic.

Convince any rational person that this Commander in Chief is going to abandon his troops. Convince any decent man or woman that he will abandon his fight to protect the American people against an evil enemy, just because you don't happen to like him, mr Texas nobody.....
