To: Irish Queen
For the last few years when when greeted with a generic "Happy Holidays" On occasion I reply, "Which one? Eid? Winter Soltise, Hannanuk, or Chinese New Year?" Or I give a little laugh and say, "Thanks for the greeting, but I don't celebrate Happy Holidays, I celebrate Christmas instead.

Why not just take the greeting in the spirit in which it was offered?

I have no problem with that at all just as long as you don't forbid your employees from using the word Christmas as many businesses have done for the past couple of years (and some still do).
