One of the things I remember from when this happened is that Flight 800 was not scheduled to take off at that time.

There was some delay at the airport, and apparently an airplane heading to Israel with mostly Israelis aboard was scheduled to take off at that time.

Because of he delay, Flight 800 took off late at the time the other plane was scheduled.

So if that is correct it could have been targeted for that reason by Anti-Israel terrorists.
