Do you guys have a list of the "broken glass inactivists" that crawled over broken glass to stay home and teach the GOP a lesson? I think we ought to start a ping list to alert them to each precious jewel that they brought us like this, Rummy, immigration, etc.
I voted straight R, trying to do my part to save the House and Senate. I did not agree with "sending a message".I am horrified by democrat control, because things will rapidly move downhill.
HAVING SAID THAT: The President, along with the Republican House and Senate were blindsided because those who worked on their campaigns and gave hard earned dollars to their campaigns and had faith in the conservative messages put forth, were all but ignored when it came to the Domestic issues they found important.
What do you do? Withholding money from their campaigns in protest was not working - they already had big donors. They never worried that votes may be withheld if they did not pay attention to voters, because we complained but we still stood up for them in 2002, 2004. The Republicans did not have to listen to the people because they had their cake, and were eating it too.
Horrible lesson to learn, but maybe next time they will understand that when you are voted in to speak FOR the people,the people MEAN it!
When the terrorists are blowing up malls and buildings and buses and schools here in the USA, those who voted for democrats and socialists are going to be very sorry - and RINOS who held hands with democrats will learn that lesson right along with everyone else.
