So, I see that people who should know better are deserting Bush in droves now, and ridiculing him. Pretty soon they'll be telling liberal jokes about him and calling him dumb and making fun of his plain speaking. Quite a difference from a few days ago when Rove, You Magnificient Bastard was the phrase of the day.

Whining is pathetic, no matter who is doing the whining.

I have no doubt that the President will stay the course on Job #1 which is winning the War on Terror. He will do what it takes to bring enough Democrats on board to make that happen, and it is up to us to put pressure on the newly elected "conservative" Democrats to support the war effort. Nancy P will want to castrate them all, and we must not allow that to happen.

Undermining the President and making fun of him is not going to help us to right the ship.

I'm sorry Rob. I completely disagree.

I've done my darnedest to support him and put on a good face, believing that he knew what he was doing and was doing what it takes to lead. I didn't abandon him when others were.

But yesterday, he lost me.

Lighten up, Francis!

Some of us still love the lug, but we need time to lick our wounds, and until SOMEONE steps up to the plate with the courage of conservative convictions, the roast will continue.

I always make jokes, regardless of who is in office. Even so, I will always credit George Bush as making the first stand against the current Jihad wave that will permeate the globe over the next two decades. It's coming, and it has precedent. History will show he made a stand, but at this juncture in time, america had chose a different, and possibly a destructive path. Our military leaders should be ashamed.

I may get flamed on this but this time it's "Bush's Fault" for losing the House and Senate. He was out of touch regarding immigration policies and it was the tipping stone. The citizens have spoken and maybe he has heard. Good thing he was not up for reelection or we would have a bigger problem. At least he is still at the helm and has a decent chance of repair the damage.

When he signs the amnesty bill for 20 million new democrat voters(illegal aliens) can we start undermining him?

Actually, this started yesterday right after the PResident announced Rumsfeld's departure. Up until that point, speaking personally but also conveying the mood on conservative talk radio yesterday in the AM, the mood was we lost because the Congress turned its back on conservatism, especially the Senate over the last few years. We were looking forward to cleaning up the mess, getting good folks into the '08 primaries, and fighting back.

Then the Rumsfeld announcment came. Given the mood of the general population re: the Iraq war, we all know it was going to be tough in the elections. So, announcing the resignation the very day after we took such a beating was just plain STUPID! This was in the works for months - so his resignation in the summer may have done something to save Senate control - Allen lost by less than 10,000 votes! Instead, we get this golden gift handed to the Dhims. The President should have just sent a freakin' Hallmark card!

And then, in the same press conference, he comes out with his Jobs Americans Won't Do catch-phrase when talking immigration. One could almost draw the conclusion that he's happy with the new state of affairs, as it means his pet project for his pet constituency will pass just like he wants it to.

If these moves don't deserve ridicule, I don't know what would.
