If the dems are Left to themselves, this is going to be the constant refrain out of DC for the next two years:

Senate Democrats again blocked such a vote Wednesday evening.

He can, but he would have to serve without pay (per the article).

The administration should just leave it vacant.

Great idea! Can they do that?

What difference would it make? The UN isn't going to cooperate with us, regardless of the ambassador. Now we can send someone who actually likes the organization. It doesn't matter. They'll just sit around and chat some more.

You remember a few months back there was a thread there that said that bj wanted the UN General position....and when it went to another person, they showed a pic of bj, he looked like he had lost his last friend...

I'm sure Mrs. thunderthighs has talked to Mrs. hotshot and that is the 'plan'....

Can he be paid by the private sector? Some conservative think tank or some Conservative rich guy?

Maybe John Bolton would like to run for President, or as VP ...

Bolton has been wonderful there, but he's wasted on the pitiful U.N.

I'm hopeful that there's bigger and better plans for him.

I can't think of any reason that wouldn't work.
