Excuse me .. this hubris on the part of the dems is just stunning - I guess I shouldn't be surprised but it's just amazing to me.

Here NP is making deals with the Muslims (pleading don't hurt us) while they have NOT EVEN BEEN SWORN IN YET!!

Here's the point though, we won't know what the real story is WITHOUT an investigation! Are you willing to take that chance on national security? I'm not. Not to mention bribery or selling votes. There's got to be a congressman with a microphone to speak into and some time to burn.

I am not willing to simply stand by while someone hands over the castle without firing a shot!

To permit sharia to be the law anywhere in the U.S. is completely unconstitutional.

Darkness is certainly descending but the non-muslim world hasn't even begun to fight. In fact, most of the west is just waking up to the threat of islam.

I hope you are right. But where exactly does the Constitution speak explicitly forbidding people to live under their own "religious" laws?

Everywhere I look I see capitulation in the name of PC...and we do nothing to help our Christian friends around the world living in a world of fear at the hands of Muslims.

Sharia isn't a religious law. It is a system of laws that governs every part of muslim life. Under it, women have very limited rights, for example.

Look at the following part of the 14th Amendment...

No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Sharia would run afoul of that in a thousand ways (look at the Bill of Rights for example). Sharia would essentially be a negation of the constitution as it pertains to the lives of muslims.

Here's a little bit of info on sharia...

Shari'ah is more than a criminal code. It may be described as a code of conduct for every Muslim, which regulates everything from business relations to private behaviour. The radical features of shari'ah are especially evident in the cruel forms of punishment the shari'ah prescribes for non-adherence to regulations, such as amputation, lashing and stoning. The latter form of punishment has caused an uproar of indignation in the cases of Safiya Husaini and Amina Lawal. It is less known in the West that those who break away from Islamic faith are also threatened with death by stoning, alas the number of these cases is very difficult to establish.

In cases of adultery, shari'ah resorts to particularly drastic measures. Rape creates an especially difficult burden of proof for the victim. Shari'ah law only provides for punishment in cases of adultery, if both parties admit to have committed the "crime". If this is not the case, four independent witnesses have to be found; however, the witnesses must be male. In cases of rape, shari'ah rules that a rapist is to be punished with 100 lashes, if unmarried, or with death by stoning, if married, since this would then constitute adultery.

A pregnancy as a result of rape first of all counts as evidence of adultery committed by the woman. The rape victim then has to prove that she really was raped. In case the man - which is very likely - denies that he has raped the woman, the woman has to name four male witnesses to prove the rape. In case the woman does not find these four male witnesses - which again is very likely - she will be charged with slander.

For the crime of slander, shari'ah prescribes a punishment of 80 lashes. On top of that, the woman will be charged with adultery, and is thus threatened with the death penalty, if she is married. In case, she is unmarried, the "adultery" counts as immoral behaviour and is punished with 100 lashes. This is at least what the criminal code of January 2000 of the Nigerian state Zamfara says.

Good catch, but no. The link I was speaking of was either 11-07 or 11-08, it was regarding the MN Dems send muslim to Congress or an Hamas thread. I'll remember it but until I do, uhhh!

Actually, the important thing to remember is CAIR has been linked to both Hamas and Hezbollah, both considered to be terrorist orgs. Now, if one of the two major political parties of this great nation have been in contact and planning strategy, that's treason or at least rises to the level of Iran-Contra.

Which do you think people would rather watch, "Nostrils" Waxman holding Halliburton hearings or Democrat/Terrorist colloboration meetings?

I know about all that..but we have mormons for example who live separately out west flaunting much of the US Constitution. We have Muslims living right here right now who practice their criminal behaviors on their families now! I do not see any authority stepping in and preventing horrible things from happening within families and communtities.

I saw that...and discussed it with Muslims (both male and female) in fact.

They are quite adamant that it is a cultural practice and that nothing will stop them from continuing the procedure...either here or by sending their daughters abroad to get it done.

That is so disgusting.

I hope women will rebel against their treatment under islam.

I posted an article last week (or the week before) about the muslim women's "feminist" conference in Barcelona. Many of them are p!ssed about their treatment.

Islam is so foul and evil. I hope (and believe) the world will rise up against it when it is seen for what it is.
