WASHINGTON - Activist Cindy Sheehan was arrested Wednesday as she led about 50 protesters to a White House gate Wednesday to deliver anti-war petitions she said were signed by 80,000 Americans.
Before she was arrested, she joined the protesters in hailing the outcome of Tuesday's elections and chanting "Stop the War" outside the gate.

Some even gave their real names.
She just wanted to be groped again. Its all she has to look forward to.
Right before Bush gave his sppeech this morning they were talking with some reporter on the WH lawn about Rumsfield. It was very distracting as there was some bum in the distance doing a song-chant that went on and on and on.
Speaker Pelosi will get her out & then fulfill her dreams of bringing the soldiers home, notice I didn't say ending the war!! That will be the beginning of the bloodiest & most destructive war this world has ever known!

"I wish I could find a man."
Mumbles under breath and wanders off in search of good news elsewhere...
Did Sheehan vote in her new hometown of Crawford this election?
Certainly her outrageous actions and choices are reason enough for condemnation, but being mindful of her sacrifice, one might choose to refrain from mockery. I mean this particular picture ... Man, I don't know. She's pretty far gone.
BTW, did she throw her son's medals over the fence?
Wow Cindy I can't tell you how little most of America cares about the pathetic, last week's fish wrap news Democrat wailing wall tool you are. They played you like a fiddle and you dear, are a Pelosi afterthought
Comic relief? No. I still think that this deranged woman could be a potential serious threat to the President. I sure hope she's being watched. Personally, I don't want her anywhere near President Bush, Vice President Cheney, nor their families.
Well, it certainly wouldn't be surprising would it? She chose not to honor her son, and her whole protest career is a wild amplification of her bitterness at his loss, and is certainly tinged by selfishness in that regard. But do we honor her son by mocking his mother? It doesn't seem right to me. I'm not saying we have to give any special respect to her actions or opinions, but I don't see the necessity of personal mockery.
Have you read her book? Wherein she claims we went to war in Iraq to build a pipeline there? Actually, there is nothing left to do but mock her. She is not worthy of rational debate. Anyone who calls the enemy that killed her son "freedom fighters" is a traitor of the first order deserving of a hanging, much less a little mockery.
You are right! We don't have to stoop to that level to get our point across.
"stoop to that level"
Leno, Letterman, Robin Williams all stoop to that level on a routine basis. Pretty funny- ridicule, and totally healthy and entirely appropriate.
