Have some faith. A strong GOP candidate for President could have coattails that overwhelms Democratic turnout. Our first battle is taking on the media and exposing them for what they are. If they are allowed to shape the news and "create" their own truth with impunity as they did this last four years, the GOP has no realistic chance at making real gains in 2008. We simply have to put the media back in their place and not allow them to define us.

He who controls communication controls the world.

The liberal media took our complaints and used them against us. It worked, because the majority of Americans are conservative. Even today, no one knows what the democrats agenda is for the future or what the voters actually voted FOR.

Presidents don't have coattails. There have been no presidential coattails to speak of since Reagan in '80. Even in the most conservative states, we can't beat a Rat incumbent unless we can find an outstanding candidate. And a candidate without high preexisting name recognition probably isn't an outstanding candidate. The chances of winning a net of 2 Senate seats in '08 isn't great. We can do it, but it won't be easy, especially with Warner probably retiring.
