Well, that is how the dems pulled it off in Indiana. As a Conservative, I think this softens the blow.

I think for the Dems to get bills through the House and Senate, they will have to deal with the DINOs (Democrats In Name Only).

But will they actually vote that way once they're in Congress?

If they don't then their challengers in 2008 will beat them over the head with it. The Democrats took a risk running a bunch of moderate to conservative candidates in this election. It will either work well for them and in the long run move the party to the right or else it will blowup in their faces come 2008.

I'm thinking they will vote a lot like a Republican because for the most part the people are conservative.

above is another interesting perspective. This is not limited to Indiana. Ohio and Kentucky are the same (see above)

No one that votes to make pelosi speaker and rangel and conyers chairmen of committees is conservative.

There are so few dinos that pelosi will be able to pick off a lot of rinos to pass bills.

Dems have such a big majority they could afford to lose 15 dems and still pass a bill.

Now you will get bush and the dems giving us amnesty.

This is not gridlock the dems will be able to pick off rinos in the senate and pass bills.

People were calling to punish the gop and get gridlock. Well instead you will have far leftist bills like minimum wage and amnesty passing.

Losing the senate was a disaster.

Repeat after me:
Daylight Savings Time
Daylight Savings Time
Daylight Savings Time
Daylight Savings Time

THAT is what cost us the districts affected most by it...

These guys are phoney as a three dollar bill. They lied through their teeth to get into office. They'll vote with the Nancy woman against the interests of their constituents.

These guys are another case of the "whiff of fascism" emanating from the penumbra of candidacy I've been bringing up for months and months. There's a type of potential voter out there who will vote for the Republicans for economic and tax reasons unless they get that "whiff" and then they pull out grandpa's pointed hat and klan robes, or maybe dusts off his daddy's German-American Bund hat, and they go for the Democrat with the odor that pleases them.

The Dem planners know that. They've used it to their advantage in three statewide races in Virginia (where I presently live) THREE TIMES ~ they won with Warner, they won with Kaine, and they think they are winning with Webb.

I remember after the '02 election thinking this type of dem candidate would be our worst nightmare as far as them picking up seats. I think they themselves realized that after the 2004 elections and this year we got a dose of culturally conservative democrats running in many red states. They will go to DC and support the wealth redistribution welfare state and align themselves with the far left democrat leadership in congress.

I did not like hearing Bush say that he would work with the Dems.

The Dems have offered no ideas, obstructed, and then pointed at the inability of the Republicans. I am hoping the favor some how gets returned.

Nope. The Dem strategy has always been "Pretend to be moderate, get elected, vote like a communist." This year, they just changed "pretend to be moderate" to "pretend to be conservative." It wasn't much of a trick for them. Apparently they fooled enough people--this time.

And the GOP didn't help by slapping their conservative base around for the past two years.

In Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky, I don't think it is a good idea to vote like someone from San Fransisco.
