She's not dumb.

She chose early the "Culture of Corruption" theme but dropped it when the Jefferson and Reid matters came out. Also the leftish media was harping on Iraq because that can be milked for anti-America themes.

Turns out it was a winner, the exit polls said corruption was one of the most important motivations for voters, more than Iraq. Another issue was Congress in general, not "Bush".

I can guarantee you if there will be corruption investigations they will not include Jack Abramoff.

Nancy is no pushover. She is every inch the daughter of the absolute boss of Baltimore, d'Allesandro, who ran that town's crooked Demo machine for decades as mayor and congressman with an iron hand in an iron glove. He, like every other dead SOB in that town is still on the voter rolls, I'm sure. Probably alongside Francis Scott Key.

Keeping the unfriendly and criminal scumbags who inhabit that town in line would have baffled the Gestapo, but not Nancy's Pa. Whipping the Democrats into her line of thinking (somewhere to the Left of Trotsky) should be child's play for her Daddy's child.
