We just don't learn from history. Well this time the hippies of the 60s are now leading the country and when we pull out of Iraq, you had better get ready to defend yourself here in the USA.

A good source of the types of gun to purchase can be found in Guns and Ammo. Don't wait too long, because in 2 years Hillary and the Dems will try everything they can to take away your guns. Believe me, when I see UN blue caps in my town, my Savage 308 with night optics will become active. Just watch for state militias to become active in the next few months.

I have a few friends here in the South East who are willing to get things organized. Parinoid, nope. Just look who will be speaker of the house, a SF lib.

"Pulling out might be the lesser of two evils"

This week’s ”Periplaneta Americana“ Award: ”Each of us must wonder about the convenience of the timing of his conviction and sentencing... Saddam Hussein will get out of Iraq the same way 2,832 Americans have and maybe thousands more. He’ll get out faster than we will.“—MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann

I hope your assessment and advice prevails for 2008. We need to keep moving forward with a Republican Revolution.

I think Americans still want to win the WOT but want us to also stop playing around about it. We need someone to step forward like Ronald Reagan and Newt Gingrich did. Someone to set a clear vision. No backing down.

***That's where Bush and other Repubs went wrong. They let the MSM lie about WMD's and divide Afghanistan and Iraq into 2 different wars.***

We all need to get on message and stay on message about conservative ideas.

Now to find the main messenger for 2008 who will lead the march to taking back control of Congress and keeping the Whitehouse. It's certainly not going to be one of the RINO's that the MSM keeps bantering about.

I want to live and I am prepared to survive. However, if I must meet my maker, so be it... life as a coward would be far worse than death as a man.

Let them "bring it on"!!

This election was a disowning of people who have helped us in the last five years, many at the risk of their lives. This was one of the most cowardly acts on the part of the American public. We won't live it down.

Let us have no more "no win" wars. And any Democrat who wants to send American servicemen and women overseas can go to Hell!

"If Iraq is abandoned, the credibility of America and the West is lost.

I pray not, but if the Republicans don't get back to basics it may happen.

Why can't they show as much backbone and courage as our troops, even though no one is shooting at them? Is it all just a game to them? They didn't lose, they didn't show up.

I wish I could take credit for that post but it was done by Former Spook on the blog "In From the Cold." He has a way with the world and has seen a lot. That said, the country needs a real person (not necessarily a man) with a clearly defined message who is on target and willing to get it done. As the post says, Ronaldus Magnus had three things he wanted to get done. I have led groups before and those with laundry lists are toast within 30 days. Two traits are necessary: 1) communicating with the people so they understand where you are going and 2) NO compromise in fundamental principles. I'll never forget when Ronnie fired the Air Traffic Controllers. I knew I would love that man for his guts.

The problem we have in this country is that "dynasties" are taking over. First it was Bush, then Clinton, then Bush and now perhaps Clinton. In a country of 300 million, there are many more than a few "Good Men."

You have my undying respect, Sir. May God bless you for your service. Come to think of it, these kids in Iraq ARE the best and brightest in the entire country. I say that as one who has seen a lot of bright kids in his day but knows the Veterans are those who gave us what we really have often at great cost.

Godspeed!
F

We probably will abandon Iraq and the Left will take great satisfaction in the resulting slaughter as thee Left believes that anyone who places faith in America deserves death and destruction. We cannot opt out of the war, however. We can allow it to cross the ocean and beset us in America proper. The Democrats prefer it that way so that they can more easily assign the bombings and massacres to the FBI to hunt down the individual perpetrators and bring them one by one to justice.

I was an ARVN advisor in '71. One of the ARVN Captains I worked with had been fighting a long time. The ARVN Squadron [we were Armor] CO was outstanding. And when I watched Saigon fall, all I could think of were those poor bastards and the families we hung out to dry.

Thanks for the ping.

"Interesting take. You may be right."

The Popo guy is more than interesting. The reference is to GHW cutting and running and leaving the shiites and kurds to be slaughtered the first time we were in Iraq.

GW is not about to repeat.

U R correct. I cannot even think about how many ARVN's were probably murdered after we cut and ran. Countless I would assume. They will never tell us. They will say no one died after they surrended. We took them back as brothers. Right, and my bridge in Brooklyn is for sale also.
