Of course the blame lies with the voters. Last I checked it is the voters that choose our government, so yes, ultimately the voters are to blame. I'm not discounting that the Republican Party should change their mascot from an elephant to a Rhino, but to vote on one issue, or to vote the enemy of this country's foundation into office to "get back" at the Republicans is just plain ignorant.

And that is precisely why we got creamed yesterday:

The Democrats convinced people to vote for them; the Republicans *expected* everyone to vote for them.

Conservatives just got tired of being to the Republican Party what Blacks are to the Democrat Party. Abandon the base, lose the race.
