You seem worked up about this, my friend. That's okay. We're all free to care about whatever issues we want.

I object to anyone who delivers a insult to American troops -- whether male or female. But other than that, this little incident isn't worth an argument. I mainly posted it here for its value as humor.

"I object to anyone who delivers a insult to American troops -- whether male or female."

Do you mean to say that a member of the US Armed Services is always to be immune from any rebuke as to his/her character or other infractions of sound behavior as one who represents our nation?

Probably EVERY day, somewhere, on some military installation, a court martial is being carried out. We have a Uniform Code of Military Justice. Would you say that it "delivers an insult" for officers to prosecute any armed forces member for infractions of the UCMJ? Shouldn't they be immune, simply because they are military personnel?

Many things that take place in dormitories on US military installations are still violations of the UCMJ, and they are prohibited by law for very good reasons. These things include vulgarity in certain contexts, lewdness, sexual pandering, and much of what is never prosecuted.

But, like others who have responded to my remarks, you have missed the most important, although the largest part of them. We are not telling military people how to act or not to act. We are stating that we must protect OUR OWN children from what we know to be the life-style in military dormitories in general, many of them now co-ed, and from the influence of women like those who posed nude, apparently without any shame, and we would fight tooth and nail against all attempts to conscript our females.

Obviously, there are few "conservatives" who would give a rip about the morality and purity of our daughters, or about families who teach moral purity to their children. Certainly we have seen hundreds of statements on Free Republic which indicate that the kind of "conservatism" represented here is, more often than not, only economic conservatism, but closer to Libertarian libertine-ism. This, of course, would offer no protection to my children or grandchildren.
