The only reason I suspect Cheney is because he was lumped in with Bush's vote of confidence for Rummy last week. He knows the Dems are gunning for them. He admitted today that he accepted the Rummy resignation based on who won the election. Sad, really sad.

Because he knows he has no support in the heralded "base" of the GOP.

He never has; it's all been just like Rush: supporting him because the alternative is worse.
