Do you think now that the Democrats are in Power that the MSM will now tell start telling everyone the good things that are happening in Iraq?

Do you think the MSM now tell the truth about the economy?

I think the MSM will start telling everyone the Democrats are doing a great job, look at the economy, the success in Iraq...and so on. Let's wait and see.

You hit the nail on head with that one. It will start before the Congress is even seated.

I've been posting the same thing for a few weeks now. I'm not so sure we're going to skedaddle out of Iraq after all.

I wish the MSM would show the dancing in the street in Muslim land over this election.

SFGI, I think the media and the dems are smarter than that. They are now looking to 08. They still need to make Bush seem as bad as possible to setup a run for Hillary. The President usually gets blame/credit for anything the congress does, so I am sure they will try to screw Bush more.

There is no responsiblity in the Congress, only in the Presidency. Let's just hope Bush takes on the Congress and doesn't cave like he has been on so many conservative issues.

As far as the war goes, he needs to take it up a notch. The reason we are in this mess is we are trying to keep everyone happy. That's an impossible feat, so why attempt it.

That would be great, IMHO. Who cares who gets the credit, so long as we WIN.

Problem is our internal enemies probably won't be satisfied with anything short of complete and definitive defeat, just as was the case wrt Vietnam. BTW, the ostensible claim that they just want to "bring the troops home" is lie, as was also proved by Vietnam. The American (and international) left actively pursued the defunding, deligitimization, demoralizing and defeat of South Vietnam even after America troops had been removed from the country and a peace treaty was signed.

Of course their overriding aim is not defeat for America as such, but America's humiliation and humbling of its supposed predatory "arrogance" thereby. I'd even be satisfied if it could be made to appear to the American Left (while not so much to our external enemies) that America had been "humbled," but in such a way that we could still actually win. I doubt that's possible though.

The MSM has to wait until the Dems enact some new policy (tax hikes, a budget) before they start claiming that the economy is better.

If Bush had balls, he would not sign a budget until the Dems extend his tax cuts. Let the train wreck happen. It would have worked if Dole hadn't pulled the plug in 1995; it would work now, and what does Bush care about his popularity rating? Not much. The Dems are the ones who squeal when the government comes to a halt. Let them.
